Halloween at Casa Ceresa Pt. 2

November 5, 2008 13:15 by C_Patrick

I have now decided that future parties at my house will be juice parties.  Or possibly tea parties.  Or possibly even flavored water parties.  That said, the Halloween party went smashingly well (with not much actual smashing) except for about a half-hour of madness.  Most of the night was spent laughing and chatting with friends and new friends, watching classic 80s movies on the big screen and listening to classic 80s music on the stereos (did I mention it was an 80s-themed Halloween Bash?  No?  Well, there you have it).  There were 80s rockers, 80s movie icons, 80s t.v. icons, scary costumes, goofy costumes, and (my personal favorite) sexy costumes.

Ah, if only there hadn't been all that drinking.

Tempers flared, beatings were promised, yelling was yelled.  But in the end, the peace and love of the 80s (wait, was peace and love an 80s thing?  Hrm...maybe that was cocaine and junk bonds) prevailed and everyone left unharmed (except for the poor soul who twisted an ankle while fleeing the amorous advances of another guest).

And since I know that avid readers of this blog (all 3.5 of you) have been anxiously waiting for this, here it is -- the 2008 Halloween Costume Contest Winners:

Scariest: Lee's rocker codpiece; Rockiest: Sean's big-haired 80's hair band rocker (Lee would have won this one, too, but he'd already won one); Sexiest: Amanda's nurse; Mostest Militariest Commander: Jason's Cobra Commander; And (drumroll, please) Mostest 80s-est: a tie between Kevin's Marty McFly and Declan's Doc Brown

Happy Halloween!
